CHW Apron Conveyors

Features

A special drive chain is fitted with support wheels rolling on special tracks and carries the aprons. Aprons are made of suitable materials depending on the application. Wooden aprons are common in white goods assembly lines, while steel aprons are used for high temperature or aggressive materials where belts could not be used.

A number of accessories are also available for this family of conveyors such as hoppers, bunkers, trays, side-skirts, and custom designed accessories

Characteristics

Special chains fitted with carrying pulleys running ion special guide rails. They can take many shapes and inclination angles, depending on the design of the aprons. It is possible to have straight or S-shaped configurations, and speeds vary between 3 m/min to 15 m/min.

They are reliable and require low maintenance

Applications

Due to their high carrying capacity and low maintenance requirements, apron conveyors are found in many industries which require heavy duty and low maintenance. Typical applications are in municipal waste processing, bulk materials handling, mining industry, raw minerals production, cement industries, as well as assembly lines.
